MIAMI, FLORIDA, September 3, 2023 – CityVitae has joined forces with Icon Brickell, a prestigious luxury condominium in Miami designed by the acclaimed firm Arquitectonica, to address the growing demands of residents with electric vehicles. With a focus on efficiency and scalability, Icon Brickell is upgrading its EV charging infrastructure to provide sustainable, top-tier services for its tenants both now and in the future.
During the bidding phase of the project, Icon Brickell received many proposals from competitors that were purely transactional, rather than focusing on building a relationship and providing a holistic solution that evolves with their needs. This trend of prioritizing short-term sales over lasting relationships is something CityVitae has seen growing, not just among new companies, but also among seasoned industry players.

Prior to our partnership, a competitor installed ten Level 2 chargers, however it quickly became clear that this one-size-fits-all approach was insufficient for the building’s high demand. With over 1600 units, spaces dedicated to EV charging were constantly full due to a lack of fast charging stations and poor system management software provided through the initial installation.
Our team worked intensively with Icon Brickell to fine-tune the number of machines, the type of machines, the charging rate, the idle fee, the grace period, the building’s charging rules/regulations, and more. The final system is a mix of Level 2 and different types of Level 3s, including one of the few ultra-fast 120kW charging stations existing in a condo in Florida.
Post-installation, CityVitae will continue to support Icon Brickell with local customer support and maintenance, in addition to being there to upgrade their system when the time is right.
